PTA Information
Include at the minimum PTA members with contact info and a meeting schedule and location. You may also want to include the many events and services that the PTA is providing to your school.
Safe Walking Routes
This page has been created for you. The embedded map will automatically update as changes are made by the principal on the Safe Routes Utah site. However, any changes to the text of the route descriptions will need to be made manually. You can click on the link and find the print version of your school's map, and then copy the text and paste it onto your page to update it. You will need to fix some formatting issues after pasting it to make it look good. If you need help, ask for assistance.
School Calendar
A calendar of school-wide and grade-level events should be on your website for parents to reference. This is most often done by using your public Google calendar. This calendar should be already embedded on your site, if you need assistance with it, please ask.
School Community Council Info
There are quite a few items that must be on the school website and some have deadlines. Use this sheet to help make sure your school is in compliance. School Community Council Requirements for School Websites
Title One Information
If your school is a Title One school, there are documents that you need to have on your website. You could include those under the Community tab or as a separate Title One top-level navigation tab. (Remember to keep those top-level tabs to 7 or fewer.) See the Title I page for the information to include. Your school may have more items.
Recommended Items
Enrichment Programs
Include any enrichment programs that your school uses so parents are aware of them and how to participate in the optional programs. There is a list of commonly used programs on the Programs page. Your school list will be different, modify it as needed.
Recess Weather Guidelines
Including information about inside/outside recess guidelines can be helpful for parents and staff members. Including a current conditions weather widget is also helpful. There is an example and instructions (coming soon) on the Recess Weather Guidelines page. If you need assistance with this, please ask.
Snow closure Guidelines
A link to the District's Emergency Communications and Snow Closure Guidelines page is a good resource during the winter months.
